Sant Josep vins

Sant Josep Vins is the winery of a local agrarian Cooperative founded in the town of Bot, Terra Alta, in 1962: Agrícola Sant Josep Cooperativa. Currently, the 4th generation of wine growers in the area contribute their work and their grapes and it is made up of a hundred local families.

The scenic environment of the Sant Josep vineyards is protected by a Mediterranean climate, at an altitude of 250 to 500 meters above sea level. This privileged geographical location provides a very ventilated area, ideal for the production of great wines.Its production is homegrown and most of its wines are made under the D.O. Terra Alta.

The cultivation of Sant Josep wines comes from sustainable vineyards, selecting their grapes meticulously on the 450 hectares that the partners own. The rigorous process of separating the grapes, according to varieties and qualities, together with the most technologically advanced and wine-friendly production systems, help to offer spectacular results in their wines.

Sant Josep wines are protected under the apellations of origin Catalunya and Terra Alta. The wines for this last apellation are those with more typicality and made with the typical varieties of the area, such as Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Tinta, Garnacha Peluda and Cariñena among others.The Cooperative has its own oil mill for the production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil as well.

Agrícola Sant Josep has its own management model and a highly qualified professional team, led by the manager Jaume Martí and the oenologist Mrs.Amparo Amaro.
